Experience a quick, hassle-free method for customers to trade and monitor shares online on the basis of current market trends as well as seamless order placement, tracking and modification processeses.

 

 

Secure identification and authentication

After clicking 'Trade Now', customers will be taken to a Citi login screen where they can securely log in to Citi using their Citi credentials (user ID and password)or using biometric methods for user recognition like Face ID, Touch ID, etc.

Validate the one-time password generated from Citi Mobile® Token

Customers can validate the one-time password generated from their Citi Mobile® Token. Alternatively, they also have the option to receive a one-time password on their registered mobile number by clicking on the link 'Send one-time password via SMS instead' at the bottom of the screen.

Authentication successful

After successful two-factor authentication, customers may provide their consent to authorize Citibank to share their data with trusted third-party providers. After providing consent, customers will receive a confirmation message and be redirected to Partner's app to begin trading with Citibank. Refer to API Callout 1 for information about retrieving an access token and API Callout 2 for information about retrieving customers' brokerage and settlement accounts details.

Customers input order details

Customers can input order details like order type, price, purchasing power, holding quantity and average cost of the stock on the order input screen. 

 

The drop down values are reference data fields. Example: Order Type is a reference data field which returns different values associated with it.

 

Refer to the API callout to get possible values of the reference fields with their description.

 

Please note: The API in the callout is used to retrieve the reference data field values and used in the subsequent steps of the journey as well.

Customers continue to input order details

Customers provide more order details like quantity and date. They then click on 'Continue' to proceed.

 

Refer to API Callout 1 for information on retrieving brokerage holdings and API Callout 2 to verify the order details of the customer.

Customers confirm their order details

After clicking 'Continue', customers will need to verify both their order details on the pre-confirmation screen as well as the transaction fee displayed on the screen. Customers' details are confirmed after they agree to the Terms and Conditions.

 

Order confirmation

Customers see an order confirmation message along with a reference number to track the status of their order.

Customers can modify their orders

Along with being able to track the status of their order, customers can also modify their orders.

 

Please note: These functions are accessible after successful authentication as illustrated above in the journey.

Customers view their orders

Customers can view all their orders placed with Citi and may choose to either modify or delete them.

Modification of an order

Customers can modify the price and quantity of the order.

Verify the modified order

Modified order details are displayed on the order pre-confirmation screen. Customers can verify these details and click on 'Confirm' to proceed with the order modification.

 

 

Confirmation of order modification

Customers receive a confirmation message once the modified order is resubmitted to the market successfully. They can also view the order status by clicking on the link 'View Trade Status'.

Delete an unprocessed order

As long as an order is still unprocessed, customers have the option to delete it.

Review the order before deletion

Customers can verify the details of their trade before proceeding with the actual deletion.

Order deletion confirmation

Customers receive a confirmation message once their order is deleted.
